About this opportunity
We are seeking a detail-focused intern to help Pointe Black strengthen the way we collect, analyse and communicate our impact and financial information. The intern will work with existing programme data, feedback, booking information and financial records to create practical reporting tools for Pointe Black. This opportunity would particularly suit someone studying data analysis, accounting, finance, economics, business, research or a related subject. They will be supervised by Pointe Black’s Founding Director, who has an extensive professional background in data, audit and programme management. Depending on experience and interests, the intern may support one or both of the following areas: - Organise existing attendance, participant and programme information. - Review evaluation forms, testimonials and qualitative feedback. - Clean and categorise data ready for analysis. - Support the development of Pointe Black’s annual impact report.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who: - Is confident working with numbers and detailed information. - Has experience using Excel, Google Sheets, Quickbooks. - Can present data clearly through charts, dashboards or reports. - Has strong attention to detail and understands the importance of confidentiality. - Is studying or has experience in accounting, finance, data analysis, economics, research or business. - Has an interest in social impact, the creative industries or community organisations. - Understands and supports Pointe Black’s mission and values. Particularly useful experience: - Pivot tables and spreadsheet formulas. - Dashboard creation and data visualisation, with survey or evaluation analysis. - Report writing. Canva, PowerPoint or Google Slides.
